STBY Sharing Session 26 March

future vision on healthcare_small

STBY Amsterdam presents on 26 March 2014 its publication “Toekomstvisie op innovatie in de zorg, en hoe een design aanpak kan helpen die visie uit te voeren” (A future vision on innovation in healthcare, and how a design approach can help to execute that vision – publication in Dutch only for now). A brief introduction of the book, will be illustrated with examples from STBY and other projects. This, we expect, will offer a number of rich starting points for a joint conversation on innovation in healthcare. As participant to the session, you will also receive a copy of the book.

The session will take place on 26 March, 4-6pm in the Spaces Building, Herengracht 124-128, 1015BT Amsterdam.

STBY has worked on innovation in healthcare regularly over the past 10 years. Much experience has been gained with co-creative approaches that allow professional and informal care-givers, patients and clients, as well as healthcare organisations and their partners to contribute actively to innovating services. From several projects STBY has done with care-provider ZuidZorg (based in the Eindhoven area), aimed at improving the innovative capabilities of ZuidZorg, a clear vision on innovation in healthcare emerged. This vision was further strengthened by a series of interviews STBY did with international innovation experts, and is the core message of the book we present 26 March.

Innovation in healthcare is much debated over the past years. With this publication, we want to make a contribution to this debate, by showing how care providers can more effective with their innovation and grow their innovation capabilities as an organisation. Being open and flexible are key to this. The question of course is how.

STBY and ZuidZorg are pioneers in service innovation, and with this comes the need and urge to communicate knowledge that has been created in projects, to fuel debates that lead to new opportunities for pioneers like us. Innovation can’t be done alone. To really explore new directions, strong partners with additional knowledge and capabilities are crucial. What better way to find these than through sharing knowledge? Your contribution to this debate is therefore highly appreciated.
