DIY toolkit – 1 year old

The DIY toolkit we created with Nesta and Quicksand last year has just passed its first birthday. And what a year it was! Since its launch the website has had 350.000 visits, from all over the globe (200 different countries). And 40.000 tools were downloaded. Every person who completed thequestionnaire about their usage of the toolkit said that they feel more effective as a result. That is a compliment we are very happy to take.

The agencies came from different European countries and showed a variety of collaborative design approaches. From making films with citizens to imagine the desired future 10 years of their territory, to creating…

Exchange about state of the art service innovation

We were honoured to welcome a delegation of Japanese business visitors to our office in Amsterdam. They were interested to learn more about our pioneering work as design researchers for service innovation. We shared our vision on the current state of the art in the field, as well as some emerging trends we observe in the context of our work.

Our initial presentation was followed by an interesting discussion and exchange about difference between the European and Asian market. Some of the visitors are working for NTT Data in various capacities, others are working for companies such as Tokyo Gas, Infotec, NS Solutions, NRC and JUAS. Their visit to STBY was part of a week-long innovation tour in Europe.…
