The portraits are made by the local residents showing their affection for the part of London they call home as well as their pride in their cultural heritage, often from other parts of the world. For this event the National Portrait Gallery <a onclick=\"window.open(this.href, '_blank', 'width=120,height=200,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false\" href=\"http:\/\/bas.blogs.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/04\/19\/4cornerswestjpg.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px; float: left;\" title=\"4cornerswestjpg\" src=\"http:\/\/bas.blogs.com\/stby\/images\/2007\/04\/19\/4cornerswestjpg.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"4cornerswestjpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a>developed partnerships with local London galleries and cultural venues to involve people from the four corners of London in a series of workshops. They worked with people of various ages, young and old. The results were also very divers: photos, audio tracks, visual collages and even animated kites. I really liked the audio tracks. They were <a onclick=\"window.open(this.href, '_blank', 'width=176,height=225,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false\" href=\"http:\/\/bas.blogs.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/04\/19\/4corners.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px; float: left;\" title=\"4corners\" src=\"http:\/\/bas.blogs.com\/stby\/images\/2007\/04\/19\/4corners.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"4corners\" width=\"100\" height=\"127\" \/><\/a>powerful mixes of ambient sounds, voice overs and self-produced music.
