Olivier Van hamme was originally trained as a product & furniture designer. He specialized in Interaction Design early on. He is our intern at the Amsterdam studio this Autumn. As an interaction designer, he makes humans ‘do’ things. During his internship at STBY he wants to learn about a more ethnographic design approach, and find out ‘why’ humans do the things they do. His plan is to come full circle: combine his knowledge of iOS coding with User Experience Design, Service Design, and Product Design. This way he hopes to be better equipped to create meaningful interactions in light of the challenges posed by climate change.
