Ed has a relentless curiosity that drives an eagerness to learn. He has an industrious approach towards solving problems and seeking new challenges. Ed has a keen interest in understanding the relationship between design and human behaviour, and a passion for creating sustainable and meaningful solutions. He regularly keeps up with the latest global innovations and emerging technologies used to combat social and environmental issues.
Ed studied Product Design at the University of the West of England in Bristol, UK, where he crafted his skills in human-centred design. During his university placement year, Ed ventured to India. He worked for an innovation and design consultancy, and a sustainable packaging startup, where he focused on developing applications for alternative materials developed out of crop waste. Ed also has experience as a professional writer, as well as previous design research consulting experience within a range of different industries.
Ed’s green fingers keep him busy in his downtime, as he finds comfort in cultivating plants at home. He’s an avid explorer, always on the lookout for his adventure, his best ideas appear while he’s deep into an expedition. When he’s not in the studio, you’ll find him backpacking around the world or at a jazz gig. If he wasn’t a design researcher, he would be an outdoor adventurer.
