Julia is a Design Strategist and Innovation Consultant, with experience particularly in the field of healthcare and ageing. Her journey in design and research began 15 years ago when she became interested in using design thinking to address bigger issues and develop new services that make a real difference to people‘s lives. Until recently, Julia was Service Design Lead at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement where she focused on the design and redesign of health and social care services that have the potential to improve quality, patient experience, and efficiency. She previously worked at Engine Service Design developing user-centred service strategies and innovations for both, private & public sector clients. Her work today draws on her passion for redesigning broken systems, and her experience in enabling front line teams to acquire the skills needed in order to tackle their own challenges more creatively and collaboratively.
