On saturday the 16th of November the exhibition for the “Rotterdam Design Prize” opened with a special event in the Boijmans van Beuningen museum. The exhibition shows the most important and most innovative developments in design over the past two years, nominated by five scouts.
What made it extra special for STBY is that we’re one of the 15 nominees!
Together with Edenspiekermann, ProRail and NS, we have been nominated for our project around Dynamic boarding information above train platforms. This project was nominated because “They have collectively succeeded in meeting a complex challenge with respect to logistics and passenger experience. Their design brings the boarding, disembarkation and transfer process into the 21st century.” (you can read the full motivation for the nomination here.
Until the end of January 2014 the nominated projects are presented in the exhibition in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Then an international three-member jury will decide on a winner. However, if you want to support us, it is also possible as there is a Public Prize!
