Dutch Design Week 2008

Wall made out of 'books'
During the Dutch Design Week this year I was fascinated by new ways to create partitions in spaces. I first saw this work by one of the students graduating from the Design Academy (I forgot your name, very sorry for that). He basically cut up a lot of old books and compiled a wall out of it.

Wall of books from inside

And later at the design fair I saw this partition hanging from the ceiling. It was made out of joined up postcards.

Wall of cards

They had found a clever way to attach the postcards with little plastic joints.
