During the second expert meeting of the (Un)common Ground research network, on 24 and 25 September in Amsterdam, creatives from various different backgrounds got together to explore and discuss their methods for designing multi-dimensional collaboration. Presentations of case studies and best practices were mixed with frequent break out groups for more informal conversation.
It was fascinating to notice that although people are working in very different countries (Brazil, South Africa, United Kingdom, The Netherlands) and circumstances (deprived rural areas vs. high paced urban centres) many did share an ambition to contribute to social transformation as one of the effects of their work. It was an inspiring event that generated lots of material for further thought and analysis. (See the flickr page of virtual Platform for more pictures.)
