For a good night out in Glasgow, visit the RAFA (RAF Association). To get to the club downstairs you need to pass through the original members lounge full of old flight-related memorabilia. It is almost like experiencing time travel. The interior of the place looks like it must have been for 5 decades by now. Only the age of the people you encounter reminds you that it is actually 2007. The doorman and the bar tenders are all charming old seniors. A bit like you grandad is welcoming you to your first school party. But the audience on the dancefloor and in the bar are all contemporary youngsters having a really good time. The music is good, the drinks are fine, the company is great. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed. Quite different from the fashionable, and sometimes a bit uptight London clubs.
