STBY has a small and highly specialised team of senior researchers and consultants. We have extensive experience with research, strategy, design and project management. We are used to working in multi-disciplinary teams with agile project approaches. We like to think of ourselves as ‘T-shaped’; each member of our team possess a deep expertise in design research, as well as the knowledge and skills needed to apply this to the broader field of service design. All of our design researchers bring something different to the table.
In our London and Amsterdam offices we frequently work together with associates who bring their own expertise to the team. These are all people and companies we have worked with over the years. We have built up a solid basis for smooth collaboration and the delivery of high quality of output towards our clients.

STBY regularly hosts interns at both our UK and Amsterdam offices. We’re always interested in hearing from bright, enthusiastic, creative students who want to learn more about design research and service design as part of their studies. This usually takes between 4-6 months, as we like our interns to be involved in all aspects of what we do; once you’re comfortable with the basics, we’ll also ask you to make a special contribution through a more personal project. If you’d like to know more then send some examples of your work along with a short introduction to email@example.com, and let us know whether you’re interested in interning in Amsterdam or in London. Ideally you should have some background experience in both design and research.
Some people who worked in our core team in the past deserve a special note on this page. They contributed greatly to the projects they collaborated on, and they were a joy to work with. Thank you!
